Meet the PLT Team

At Positive Lifestyle Training (PLT) we employ all our trainers on a full time basis. We feel this gives a level of continuity and the opportunity to build comfortable relationships on an individual basis, allowing you to relax and get the very best from your training. Our trainers are constantly assessed, educated in new techniques and procedures from within the company. All trainers are currently CRB checked and proficient in first aid.

Wayne Ritzema

Wayne Ritzema

I am Wayne Ritzema, the owner and head trainer for Positive Lifestyle Training. Having played First Class cricket with Essex I then studied extensively in fitness training in Western Australia where they have adopted many innovative and up-to-date training techniques. These techniques and approach form the basis of the Positive Lifestyle Training offering which was established April 2000.

Gary Oliver

Gary Oliver

One of our most senior trainers, Gary joined PLT in 2001 having spent six years working in the fitness and training industry. Still an active and keen footballer he has a great depth of experience in all aspects of personal training and lifestyle coaching. Gary told us, "I really enjoy the one to one aspect of my job, seeing people not only gain fitness and confidence but gain a lot of enjoyment at the same time."

Luke Hall

Luke has a love of fitness, which comes across in each of his sessions. He believes a client can still work hard with a smile on their face. If you enjoy your workouts, you're much more likely to reach your long term goals.

James Ritson

James is a junior boxing champion and a keen footballer. His friendly and down-to-earth attitude makes clients feel comfortable and confident when training.

Qualifications

  • BSC Honors degree in Applied Sport and Exercise Science
  • Active IQ Personal Training Level 3
  • Active IQ Gym Instructor Level 2
  • Exercise to Music Level 3
  • Certificates in Spinning, Circuit training, Football and Boxing

Kate Manzo

Kate Manzo

Kate is our Pilates and Yoga expert and she attends every workshop there is on the subject! She is able to answer any questions you may have about the two fitness techniques.

James Hutchinson

James trained at the European Institute of Fitness. He played professional Ice Hockey for 11 yrs and still plays at a semi-pro level.

Michael Watson

Michael comes from a footballing background. He has played a very high standard of Northern league football, so he knows that working hard is a necessity. Michael pushes his clients to their maximum ability, to achieve the maximum results.

Elaine Langley

Elaine Langley

Elaine is our receptionist and plays an important part in the Positive Lifestyle Training team. She makes sure timetables are all correct so you receive the best service possible.
